rest and relaxation (EDITED!!)

My week in a big nut shell. Been on vacation this week, stayed around here for a little r&r. Got to see lane for a few mins on sunday, we talked about his field day at school, he had lots of fun. Got up early on monday and went to put flowers on Sas's graveside.I was bummed the rest of the day. Took road trip to Decatur on tues. to see Jacob had lots of fun we played, ate, napped, and played some more. Then it was time for me to hit the open road to home. On thursday les and i went and got our d.l. renewed my b-day is sat. and she needed to change address, then we headed to Belks. Ben and Candi gave me a gift card so we went, found this cute little black dress, yes I bought it. Then we went to Sam Moon's found some cute bling-bling (not as fancy as nana's) to go with my dress. Friday night went to texas road road house with my dad & Cassie. Did I mention my b-day is this sat. les and lindsey told them it was my b-day so they come to sing to me, but i had to sit on this saddle, and wave this towell above my head while they sing. To top it off Lindsey videos the whole thing. Now thats embarrasing. As long as we had fun thats all that matters. I sure did have a nice relaxing and fun week.

where to begin

I've been a little busy the last few weeks. Had lots of g-mama time with Kevin, we played and played and played. That little boy never ever stops. Wished I had some of his energy. When Lane is with his dad, they have came over before church, we have even met for lunch. Lane is almost through with school, he got all A's on his last report card. Jacob came over after church a couple sundays ago. he his pulling up on everyhting and just started to release and stand on his own. Please pray for Jacob as he his having tubes put in his ears on wed. 5/13, maybe a little more intense than normal has some damage to his eardrum depends on how bad it is to determine what will be done. Les is taking finals this week, keep her in your prayers also. Mothers day was really a good day, sat. went to Stephen and Amy's we went to eat at Catfish O'harley's. and sun. went to church with them. les and i then went to mexican inn to eat. And that night Ben, Candi, and Kevin came over. So much excitement left for a tiring G-mama. Hope everyone had as great a day as I did.

Da Suga Mama's

Hats off to Da Suga Mama's of Grace Baptist Church for participating in the Fort Worth Zoo Fun Run. I hear you all did a super job. Christina getting 1st in the 5k run and Leslie visiting the first aid table afterwards. Nothing serious just a blister on the heel. Thanks to Nurse Sasha for making Les' wound painful as possible. I'm sure it felt good. To those of you that don't know, Da Suga Mama's are the girls from the college group at Grace. It's made up of 5-6 young, fun-loving, supportive of each other, women. I really do appreciate each and every one of them. Girls you are awesome. Thanks for being the women that you are.

Since our boss has been out for his heart valve replacement surgery. There has been lots,and lots of drama at work. I'm kinda glad I'm in the infant/toddler department right now the drama is not with us and we are not apart of it. Well, except our supervisor she has been designated director until Mr. G. comes back. and we are hoping it will be real soon. Any way to a better note Kevin came over today (sat). We had a blast, besides our usual mess of toys we added some more. He was real cute, I told him we needed to take taffy potty, and he headed straight to the bathroom, tried to get taffy in there but she didn't trust him. she knows the bathroom as bath time and she hates it. I convinced him she goes outside. For lunch it was corn dogs, fruit, cereal bar,and the best choc marshmallows. What a combination. Then it was nap time, les and kev started watching happy feet on the laptop,3 mins later he was out. We played outside when he woke up, then his mommy came to pick him up. I had a super, dooper day. Thanks Ben and Candi for letting me play with Kevin.
